Meet Our Founder
Niladri Shekhar Mitra is an author, editor, entrepreneur, and the founder of The Creative Circle.
Drawn to literature from an early age, Niladri grew up believing in the quiet power of words: their ability to connect, heal, and transform. Even while building a stable and successful career in the IT industry for over seven years, he never allowed his creative voice to fade. Late nights and stolen hours became pages, poems, songs, stories, and eventually six published books.
In 2019, Niladri made a life-defining decision of stepping away from the corporate world to pursue literature full-time. What began as freelance editing gigs soon evolved into a thriving professional journey. His editorial work, marked by precision, empathy, and a deep respect for an author’s voice, earned the trust of indie writers and major publishing houses alike. As a consultant editor to top publishers, he played a key role in shaping stories that reached thousands of readers.
The founding of The Creative Circle in 2021 was a natural extension of his vision. Niladri wanted to build more than a business, he wanted to create a space where writers felt seen, supported, and empowered. Under his leadership, TCC has grown into one of India’s top literary agencies, known for its author-first philosophy and unwavering commitment to storytelling.
Today, Niladri continues to write, edit, mentor, and advocate for literature with the same passion that first drew him to the page. His journey is driven by a simple belief: stories matter, and every voice deserves the chance to be heard.
